BTS’ fifth studio album “ARIRANG” has climbed back into the top 10 of the Billboard 200, Billboard revealed in its chart preview on July 26 (local time).
The album jumped from No. 26 to No. 9 as its weekly album-equivalent units rose 62%. Billboard attributed the surge to a special vinyl edition carrying two bonus tracks — “Voice Message: Love Song” and “NORMAL” — released during the tracking week.
Billboard also credited BTS’ appearance at the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on July 19, where the group performed its 2020 smash “Dynamite,” as a positive factor for sales.
A comeback album that has already topped the chart
“ARIRANG” marks BTS’ first album in three years and nine months, released after the members’ military-service hiatus. Upon its arrival this past March, it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and held the summit for three consecutive weeks.
Elsewhere on the previewed chart, Michael Jackson’s 1982 classic “Thriller” sits at No. 8 amid renewed interest from his biopic, while Gracie Abrams’ “Daughter from Hell” leads at No. 1.
